Face Rejection with BACON

Follow “Bacon Bits with Master Happiness” on Apple Podcast, Spotify, Google Podcast, or wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

Part of life is dealing with feeling the sting of rejection over and over again. From your parents telling you, “No more Ice Cream!” to Jenny saying, “No Way!” at the High School Dance. From seeing them shake their heads at an important interview to hearing them laugh at your big idea. There is no end to reasons why, and opportunities to, and chances that, someone, somewhere, at some time will say NO to you.

Some of these rejections hit harder than others. Will they leave you feeling like dying or wanting to keep trying? It’s not always easy to bounce back, but we know we must.

Ever forward is the only option. Sitting still allows the world and all hopes for happiness to pass you by. Grow from the experience, do not let it fill your life with regret. Harness that sadness and rage, and turn it into something positive.

Don’t let one person’s opinion define you. There are 7,868,872,451 people in the world. If one person turns you down, rejects your ideas, casts off your creativity, it’s going to be okay. There are still 7,868,872,450 more people that you can reach out to.

Here is how BACON can help you deal with Rejection.

B – Boost your self-worth. Don’t let one “NO” ruin your day.

A – Ask, “WHY?” It could be a mistake, misinterpretation, or an opportunity to grow.

C – Can it make me stronger? Don’t let it make you weaker!

O – Old friends can help. They will remind you that you are accepted.

N – Now it’s time to get back out there! Take time to reflect then keep on trying!

Always follow Rejection with a lot of Reflection! Listen in to hear what I mean.
